Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy defines permitted and prohibited conduct on Sameface, including rules against deepfakes, copyright infringement, and abuse.
In Short
A quick plain-language summary of key points (the full clauses below govern our legal agreement):
- We have zero tolerance for child sexual exploitation or abuse; we report all incidents to law enforcement.
- You may not generate deepfakes, deceptive media, or sexual content of real living people without consent.
- You must hold valid rights or permissions for any reference photos or sketches you upload.
- You may not use automated scripts to scrape our platform, bypass credit counters, or attack our servers.
- You must comply with platform labeling rules when posting AI-generated video content online.
- Violating these rules can result in immediate account suspension, asset removal, or permanent ban.
- This is a first draft pending final legal review before public launch.
1. Purpose and Scope#
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets clear rules for what is and is not allowed on Sameface (sameface.in). It applies to all users, workspaces, API integrations, and visitors.
By accessing or using Sameface, you agree to comply with this policy in full. We enforce these rules to protect our creative community, maintain platform integrity, and comply with the law.
2. Prohibited Content and Conduct#
You agree not to create, upload, generate, transmit, or promote any content that falls into the following categories. Each category includes a plain-language example of prohibited activity:
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or Exploitation - *Example*: Generating, cartoonizing, or simulating any sexually suggestive or abusive visual representation of a minor. Zero tolerance: accounts will be immediately terminated and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and appropriate international law enforcement agencies.
- Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery (NCII) and Explicit Depictions - *Example*: Uploading photos of an acquaintance or celebrity to create nude, semi-nude, or sexually explicit cartoon animations.
- Impersonation and Deceptive Media (Deepfakes) - *Example*: Creating an animated video depicting a real political candidate, corporate leader, or private individual saying words they never uttered, with the intent to deceive the public.
- Hate Speech and Discrimination - *Example*: Generating cartoon dialogues that attack, dehumanize, or promote hatred against individuals based on race, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or national origin.
- Violence, Physical Harm, and Self-Harm Promotion - *Example*: Creating animations depicting gruesome violence, beheadings, animal cruelty, or instructions encouraging suicide or eating disorders.
- Illegal Activity and Regulated Goods - *Example*: Generating promotional videos for illicit narcotics, illegal firearms trafficking, or unlawful gambling schemes.
- Malware and Technical Attacks - *Example*: Transmitting scripts, payloads, or automated exploits designed to compromise Sameface servers, user browsers, or database infrastructure.
- Scraping, Model Extraction, and Reverse Engineering - *Example*: Running web scrapers, bots, or automated extractors to harvest character weights, training datasets, or prompt embeddings from the Service.
- Circumvention of Credit and Rate Limits - *Example*: Exploiting bugs, creating throwaway accounts, or forging request headers to obtain free credits or bypass render concurrency caps.
- Intellectual Property Infringement - *Example*: Uploading copyrighted Disney, Marvel, or anime footage to clone proprietary studio characters without a valid commercial license.
- Misleading, Fraudulent, and Scam Content - *Example*: Creating animated fake news reports or deceptive cryptocurrency get-rich-quick promotions to defraud consumers.
- Spam and Mass Automated Account Creation - *Example*: Using automated tools to mass-create hundreds of trial workspaces to consume server rendering capacity.
- Unauthorized Reselling of Access - *Example*: Sublicensing or renting your Sameface account credentials to third parties without an authorized enterprise partner agreement.
3. Real-Person Likeness and Reference Images#
Sameface allows you to upload reference sketches and photos to build cartoon mascots. When using reference images of real people:
- Self-Portraiture: You are permitted to upload your own photos to create an avatar or cartoon caricature of yourself.
- Third Parties: You may not upload photos or generate cartoon depictions of any other living person without their verifiable, express written consent.
- Deceased and Historical Figures: Cartoons depicting historical figures must not be defamatory or deceptive regarding historical facts.
- Public Figures: Satire and commentary must be clearly identifiable as artistic cartoon parody and must never mislead viewers into believing the depiction is a real-world recording.
4. AI Disclosure Expectations#
As a creator using synthetic generation tools, you are responsible for complying with applicable transparency laws and video platform policies (such as YouTube, TikTok, and Meta AI disclosure requirements).
Where required by the platform or jurisdiction where you distribute your videos, you must apply appropriate labels indicating that your cartoons incorporate AI-generated voice or synthetic video elements.
5. Enforcement and Safety Measures#
We maintain active safety systems to detect and prevent abuse:
- Automated Scanning: Input text prompts and uploaded images may be scanned by automated safety classifiers to detect prohibited keywords, CSAM signatures, and violence.
- Human Moderation: Content flagged by our automated filters or reported by other users may be reviewed by trained human moderators.
- Remedial Actions: Depending on the severity and frequency of the violation, we may:
1. Issue a formal warning to your workspace. 2. Cancel or block an active render job. 3. Place a temporary freeze on your credit allocation. 4. Temporarily suspend account access. 5. Permanently ban the account and delete associated data. 6. Refer severe criminal matters to law enforcement.
6. How to Report Abuse and Appeal Decisions#
Reporting Violations#
If you encounter content generated on Sameface that violates this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it immediately:
- Email: Send details to [email protected] or [email protected] with the subject "AUP Abuse Report".
